As per the name suggests, Industrial training centre’s/ industrial Training
Institutes are set up in order to provide training to the
concerned candidates in technical field.
Framework
Industrial Training Centre is privately run organizations
whereas the industrial Training Institutes are government made organizations.
They basically provide technical training for post-schools.
Avenue to ITIs/ITCs
The basic objective of
industrial Training centre is to
provide training to the interested candidate and provide there access to the
industries for technical manpower.
These candidates are trained completely to attain basic
skills to accomplish jobs of operator or a craftsman (say).
The course of ITCs is designed in way to impart basic skills
in the trade specified.
After completion of the prescribed period of training the
person who held under training for a specified period to complete the process
of basic skill training shall become eligible to appear in AITT (All India
Trade Test) conducted by NCVT (National Council Of Vocational
Training). After passing
AIT, the person is awarded National Trade Certificate (NTC”) in concerning
trade by NCVT.
Eligibility for
ITCs/ITIs
Normally a person who passed 10th standard (SSLC) is
eligible for admission to ITI.
Options after ITI/ITC
After attaining qualification from ITI/ITC one can establish
his own business for instance; own garage, motor/generator/transformers winding
shops or fabrication shops depending upon trade opted. Also person can apply
for government and private job depending upon the plan to work.
If one wants to enhance his qualification they he may go for
higher studies after getting qualified from ITI/ITC also there are many
specialized short terms courses offered by advanced Training
Institute in order to enhance the skills.
